An open mic is a vibrant, welcoming event where musicians of all levels come together to showcase their talents in front of a live audience. Whether you're an experienced performer or just starting out, open mics provide the perfect opportunity to test your material, experiment with new ideas, and connect with other artists.

What to expect at an Open Mic…

Expect a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where you can enjoy a variety of music—from acoustic folk to rock, jazz, and even spoken word performances. Performers typically sign up during a period PRIOR to the start of the open mic to have the widest selection of performance times to choose from. Each act will receive a 15 minute time slot (or an average of 3 songs) of “stage time” to perform. When arriving to the open mic, look for a sign-up sheet like the one pictured below. It will be located close to the performance area.
